đ¯ What this is
Purpose: Track work hours directly from your computer without opening the web portal.
Available For: Windows & macOS
đ ī¸ Installation & Login
đ Screen: Open the DaaiSuite Timesheet desktop app from your Start Menu / Applications. The login screen appears.
- Download & Install the Timesheet software from the link your admin shared.
- Open the App â enter your email and password (same credentials as DaaiSuite Business Suite).
- Click Login â the Timesheet Dashboard appears.
đĄ Tip: Even if you close the app window, it keeps running in the background and continues tracking your time.
â ī¸ Stale session? If the desktop app refuses to log you in or shows an authentication error, your saved session may have been issued before a recent security update. Log out and sign in again from the desktop app to refresh your session.
đ Dashboard Overview
đ Screen: The Timesheet Dashboard opens automatically after login â this is the home screen of the desktop app.
- Current Status â Shows whether you’re on a task, on break, or clocked out.
- Timer â Starts from 0 when you begin a task and counts up in
HH:MM:SS. - User Name â Displays the logged-in employee’s name.
đ¨ Task Buttons & Their Colors
| Task Type | Button Color | Billable? |
|---|---|---|
| Project Task | đŠ Green | â Billable |
| Break | 𩷠Pink | â Non-Billable |
| Meeting | đ§ Orange | â Billable |
| Office Activity | đ¨ Yellow | â Non-Billable |
| R&D / Training | đĻ Blue | â Non-Billable |
| Clock Out | đĨ Coral Red | â Ends current log |
âšī¸ Billable is automatic. Whether an entry is billable is determined by the task type you pick, not by a per-row toggle. A Project Task is billable; the other task types are not. There is no separate “Billable” switch to turn on or off for an entry.
đ Adding a Task via Buttons
- Click the task button (e.g., Project Task, Meeting).
- A pop-up appears â you may enter a Title and Task Description. Both are optional â there is no validation, so you can leave them blank and still start the task.
- Click OK â the timer starts automatically.
đĄ Tip: Your current task type is always shown on the dashboard in the same color as the button you clicked.
đ Already on a Project Task? When the dashboard already shows you on a Project Task, the green button label changes to Start New Project Task â clicking it will end the current Project Task and immediately open the form for a new one.
âī¸ Additional Buttons
- Manual Entry â Add missed work hours (See: How Manual Entry Works?)
- Logout â End your session in the software.
đ Web vs Desktop â what’s the difference?
Whether you log a task from the web portal or from the desktop app, the entry lands on the same Timesheet list under HRM > Timesheet. The list shows a small icon next to each row so reviewers can tell where the entry came from:
- đ Web icon â entered from the browser portal.
- đĨī¸ Desktop icon â entered from the desktop Timesheet app.
â ī¸ Warnings
- Forgetting to Clock Out will keep your timer running.
- Use Break for short pauses; use Clock Out when you’re done for the day.
- If your tenant URL or admin password changes, you may need to log out and sign in again on the desktop app to refresh your session.
đ Key Points
- Same login credentials as the DaaiSuite web portal.
- Entries from desktop and web all show up in the same Timesheet list, with a clear source icon.
- The app keeps tracking even when minimised; just don’t forget to Clock Out at end-of-day.
- Need to fix a missed entry? Use Manual Entry.
