How to Use the Holiday Calendar: The Holiday Calendar in Daai Business Suite helps you and your team easily see official holidays, company events, and personal reminders in one place. It also ensures that holidays are automatically excluded from your working days in Timesheet and Payroll modules.
What You Can Do with This Module
- See all official holidays for the year in one place.
- Add your own events like birthdays, company trips, or parties.
- View upcoming holidays/events right on your dashboard.
- Share or download the holiday list for your team.
1. Access the Holiday Calendar
- Go to the sidebar menu on the left.
- Under Settings, click on Holiday. (Older docs may say HRM → Holiday; the current path is Settings → Holiday.)
- You will see the monthly calendar view showing dates and holidays/events.
- Holidays are usually marked in red or highlighted with notes.
2. View Holidays in Different Ways
- Calendar View – See events in a monthly grid format.
- List View – See all holidays/events in a simple list with date, title, and action buttons.
- Use the month navigation arrows (‹ ›) to see past or upcoming months.
- Toggle between Calendar and List views with the icons in the header.
3. Dashboard Announcements
- Any holiday/event you add will also appear in the Announcements section of your dashboard (if enabled).
- The same data feeds the dashboard’s Holiday Calendar card and the non-working-day shading on the Leave Apply form.
- This helps keep the team informed without manually opening the calendar.
4. Export Holiday List
- Click the Export button.
- This will download the list of holidays/events.
- You can share it with HR, send it to teams, or even print it.
5. Holidays & Attendance
- If your company uses the Attendance/Timesheet or Payroll module, holidays from this module will automatically be excluded from working-day calculations.
- This ensures accurate salary processing and correct attendance records.
6. Permissions
- Admins (and roles with the Holiday Edit permission) can add / edit / delete entries.
- Other users see the calendar in Read-only mode.
Important Notes
- All events are visible to the team unless you have restricted access in settings.
- You can switch between calendar view and list view anytime using the icons at the top.
