The Exit Process can also be initiated directly from the Users module without going to the HRM > Employee module. Both modules update the same employee record, so you can use whichever entry point is more convenient.
Steps
- Go to Users > Users.
- From the list, click on the User Record for the employee.
- This opens the User Details View.
- Click the Edit button.
- Scroll to the Exit Process Details section.
- Tick the checkbox “Tick to start exit process” to initiate the process.
- Fill in the fields exactly as described in the Employee Exit Process article (link to the Employee Module Exit Process KB):
- Resign Date * â start of notice.
- Notice Period (days) * â calendar days.
- Estimated Last Date â auto-calculated, read-only.
- Handover Person (optional at the start, mandatory before finishing).
- Is Handover Completed? (optional, record-keeping only).
- Click Update in the aside header.
đ What Happens After the Estimated Last Date
- Login is disabled automatically.
- No further salary cycles include the employee.
- No further leave accruals.
- Final settlement = pro-rated salary + leave encashment per Settings > Leaves rules.
- TDS is pro-rated up to the last paid salary month so the annual TDS isn’t fully deducted.
âŠī¸ Reverting
Untick “Start exit process” before the Estimated Last Date and click Update. After the date passes, ask an admin to manually re-enable the user.
Important
- The process, rules, and effects after the last working day are exactly the same as in the Employee Module Exit Process.
- Both modules update the same employee record, so you can use either module as per your convenience.
- You can see detailed steps for the exit process in this article: Employee Exit Process Article.
