The Media Tab makes it easy to keep all documents, files, and attachments in one place — directly inside the record they belong to.
🔍 Where to Find It?
- Open any Detail View of a record.
- You’ll find the Media Tab next to Details and Change Log.
📑 What It Stores?
- 📄 Documents (PDF, Word, Excel).
- 🖼️ Images (JPG, PNG).
- Some modules accept additional file types depending on the use case — the file picker’s accepted-types list is the source of truth for each module.
⚙️ Available Actions
- Upload new files (drag-drop or Choose File).
- Reuse an existing file from the tenant file pool — pick from previously uploaded files via the uploader dialog instead of re-uploading.
- Rename files or update descriptions.
- Preview / Download existing attachments by clicking the doc-chip.
- Remove / Delete old files (only if permissions allow).
🗄️ How Files Are Stored
- Files are uploaded to your tenant’s secure storage (cloud storage if configured, otherwise the application server).
- Once uploaded, the file is reusable across records via the uploader dialog — no need to re-upload the same document for different records.
✅ Benefits
- Keeps all record-related files organized and accessible.
- Ensures employees always find the latest version of documents.
- Reduces dependency on external storage for record-linked files.
- Available system-wide (Employees, Clients, Projects, Assets, Expenses, etc.).
💡 Tips
- Upload PDFs of vendor invoices into Expense records — Finance will see them when paying.
- Use Media on Employee records for ID proofs and certificates.
- Use Media on Asset records for purchase invoices and warranty cards.
