The Kanban View in the Opportunity Module helps sales teams visually manage opportunities based on their sales stage.
This view works exactly like the Prospect Kanban Board, with the same drag-and-drop functionality, detailed lead cards, and real-time status updates.
🔁 How to Access Kanban View
- Click the Kanban View icon button (the three-column icon) next to the Add button at the top-right of the Opportunity grid.
- This switches the screen from list view to Kanban board view.
🧩 Kanban Columns in Opportunity
Opportunities are automatically sorted into columns based on their Opportunity Stage. Each column has its own brand color so the pipeline is easy to read at a glance:
- Requirement Gathering (pink): For opportunities where you are still understanding client needs.
- Preparing Quote (purple-pink): You’ve gathered enough details and are working on a proposal or pricing.
- Quote Submitted (purple): You have submitted a quote or proposal and are waiting on feedback.
- Negotiation (blue-purple): You are in active back-and-forth discussions on pricing or scope.
Won / Closed Lost / Abandoned opportunities are not shown on the Kanban — they live in the Grid view for reporting.
✋ Drag-and-Drop Functionality
- You can drag any opportunity card from one column to another.
- When dropped into a new column, the stage is automatically updated to match that column, and the change is recorded in the Follow-up History timeline.
✅ This helps keep the pipeline clean and reflects real-time progress on each deal.
🔍 Opportunity Card Actions
Each card on the board has two key buttons:
- VIEW: Opens the full details of the opportunity.
- Follow-Up (green button): Opens the Follow-Up form directly so you can log updates without opening the full record.
🎯 Per-Column Urgency Filter
Each column header has an urgency filter you can apply to focus the column on what’s due:
- Delayed — overdue next follow-up.
- Today — due today.
- Upcoming — due this week.
- Future — scheduled beyond this week.
- Stalled — no recent activity or no follow-up date set.
📌 Other Features (Same as Prospect View)
- Visual separation by stage.
- Clear identification of owners and timestamps.
- Real-time updates to the backend.
- Easier decision-making through a pipeline snapshot.
The Opportunity Kanban View gives sales teams a quick, action-oriented view of all deals and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
