Create, Edit, Delete Opportunities

✅ A. Auto-Create via Prospect Qualification

  1. Go to CRM → Prospect Module
  2. Open the specific Prospect record
  3. Navigate to the Follow-up History tab
  4. In the same form, scroll down to the Qualify Section
  5. Tick the following three checkboxes:
    1. ✅ Client needs our services/products
    2. ✅ We can serve the client
    3. ✅ Client has the budget
  6. Click Save
  7. A confirmation popup will appear:
    “This prospect will be converted to an opportunity.”
  8. Click OK

Result:

  • The Prospect is automatically converted to an Opportunity
  • A new Opportunity form opens with all relevant fields pre-filled
  • The record is moved from the Prospect Module to the Opportunity Module

✅ B. Manual Creation of Opportunity

  1. Go to CRM → Opportunity Module
  2. Click on the “+ New Opportunity” button
  3. Fill in the following mandatory fields:
    1. Client Name (linked to Prospect or existing Client)
    2. Opportunity Title
    3. Opportunity Stage (e.g., Educating Customer, Requirement Gathering)
    4. Expected Close Date
    5. Deal Value / Budget
    6. Assigned Salesperson (optional)
  4. Click Save

A new opportunity record is created and visible in the Kanban or List view

🔧 2. How to Edit an Opportunity

  1. Go to CRM → Opportunity Module
  2. Open the Opportunity you want to edit
  3. Click on the Edit button
  4. Update fields such as:
    1. Stage (e.g., move from “Requirement Gathering” to “Preparing Quote”)
    2. Notes, Files, or Communication History
    3. Budget, Expected Close Date, etc.
  5. Click Save

All changes are updated in real time and reflected across the CRM

❌ 3. How to Delete an Opportunity

  1. Go to CRM → Opportunity Module
  2. Open the Opportunity you want to delete
  3. Click the Delete icon/button (usually at top-right or within action menu)
  4. Confirm deletion in the popup

The opportunity record is permanently deleted from the system

⚠️ Warning: Deleted opportunities cannot be recovered.

🎯 Opportunity Source Name Dropdown

  • The Opportunity Source Name dropdown captures how the opportunity was generated (e.g., Client Referral, Lead Conversion, Inbound Inquiry).
  • You can add, edit, or delete Opportunity Source values from Settings → Dropdown Options → Opportunity → Opportunity Source Name
  • For detailed steps, refer to the article 🔗 How to add/edit/delete dropdown values?

ℹ️ Note: You cannot delete a value if it’s already in use. Editing the value updates it across all linked records system-wide
