Time Sheet

Module Location: HRM → Timesheet Overview
Purpose: To record employee work hours in an organized manner so they can be filtered, reviewed, and compiled for reporting.

Access Permissions

  • Admin: View logs for all users.

  • Manager / HOD: View logs for their respective teams.

  • Individual User: View their own logs (unless given special permission to view or edit others’ logs).

📍 How to Access

From the Main Menu:
HRM → Timesheet

🖥 Screen Layout & Columns

The Timesheet module displays a table with the following columns:

ColumnDescription
Is BillableIndicates if the entry is billable.
💲 Green Dollar Icon → Billable hours
💲❌ Red Dollar Icon with Cross → Non-billable hours
StatusShows source of the time log:
🌐 E Icon → Logged via Web Portal
💻 Desktop Icon → Logged via Desktop Timesheet Software
UserEmployee’s name.
DateDate of the time entry.
TimeStart / TimeEndStart and end time of the task.
TimeAuto-calculated duration (HH:MM:SS).
TaskTypeTask category: Project Task, Break, Meeting, R&D, Training, Office Activity, Clocked Out.
TaskTitle & Task DescriptionDetails about the task (required for Project Tasks, Meetings, R&D, and Office Activities).

🔍 Filtering Timesheet Logs

  1. Select User Filter to view a specific person’s logs.
  2. Choose Date Range for a specific period.
  3. Click Submit to apply filters.
  4. Click Clear to reset filters and view all logs.

➕ Adding a New Entry (Manual Entry)

  1. Click the Green “New Entry” button.
  2. Select:
    1. User
    2. Date
    3. Start Time & End Time
  3. Click OK → Entry is saved as a manual entry.

💡 Tip: Use this when you forgot to log time earlier.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Billable entries affect client billing and reports.
  • Incorrect entries can be edited by Admin/Manager.
  • If you frequently forget to log time, use the Desktop Timesheet Software (See: How to use Timesheet Software?)
  • You can also log time manually. Refer How Manual Entry Works
